Gah! My Exchange fic progress is AWFUL! Simply AWFUL! I buzzed about this last week, about my progress being all non-linear and disjointed. There are no transitions between the scenes/dialogues that I have right now and I feel as though I'm just stuck... up the proverbial creek. It's 2 1/2 weeks til the deadline and it's nowhere near ready for a beta's eyes... (not that I have acquired the expertise of a beta as of yet). This summer has sucked beyond imagining and I'm not in a good writing place right now. The ideas are there, coming to me as slow as molasses pours in winter time, and I feel that the 'light at the end of the tunnel' could very well be an oncoming train.

I really, really hope your muse / plot bunnies / inspiration / writerly mind will kick into high gear soon and give you the bits you need.

That said, if it's still not improving by late July, you could always do what I did last time and insert scene break asterisks between the disjointed scenes and pretend they're supposed to be like that and it's part of your style...

I just wish the flow of it wasn't so abrupt in the scene changes. My fic (the idea of it, anyway) is taking place over the course of several years, and I don't want my recipient to feel cheated or short-changed out of a really great gift simply because my muse decided to take a holiday.
