The drama never seems to end in my family. Yesterday my brother J was admitted to the hospital for kidney failure. He had gone to his doctor, Dr K, earlier in the week for blood work, and his kidney functions were very low (poor... however they classify insufficient output). Today Dr K was making rounds in the hospital and he asked my brother why they admitted him. Dr K had no clue as to why J was even in the hospital. WTF? I understand the Dr K sees a lot of patients each day, but even after reviewing J's chart, he couldn't figure it out... I'm not sure I trust that man to adequately take care of my brother who has multiple conditions if he doesn't even know what is going on with his patient. He even asked when my brother last had lab work drawn. GRRR! I wanted to thrown a chair at the man who dares to call himself a doctor. What a dumbass!

I'm sorry your brother has a fuckwit medic looking after him. Can you get someone else to review your brothers case?

I wish there was an option to have another doctor look over J's medical stuff. Alas, he has disability, government regulated insurance so he's sort of stuck with whomever is on call. What pissed me off is Dr K is J's primary care physician, so he should have known why the hell J was in hospital in the first place, given that Dr K is the one who wrote the damn orders for J's hospital admission. A fuckwit of the highest order.
