ETA: WTF is up with LJ today? The lj-cuts are all wonky and it's wiping out some of my posts at completely random places.
Shamelessly borrowed from celta_diabolica, because I don't have enough random facts rattling about in my head.
In 2009, I wrote approximately 52,125 words.
The Master Fic List:
I'm not listing my submissions to GS100, Con_Envy, or Dyno_Drabbles individually. There are too many to list and LJ is already hating me beyond belief. The links to my author pages for those particular communities are listed under the 'where I archive' question.

Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?
I wrote so much more than I ever thought I would write. I had no idea that becoming involved with prompting/challenge sites would kick my muse into high gear.
Where did you publish/archive your stories?
GS100, HPCon_Envy, AFF, OWL, a submission to Dyno_Drabbles which I haven't archived.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2009?
It would have to be Ron/Harry slash. Although, I must say that I never expected to write as much dark!fic as I have this year.
What’s your favourite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.
Certainly what I wrote for Light, Ours, Love, Always... Lola. It felt good to write something for someone else in celebration of such an important and life-altering event.
Okay, NOW your most popular story.
Severus and the Do-Me Shoes. It must be the shoes that draws people in.
Story most under-appreciated by the universe?
Polyamory, the fourth chapter in particular. I've never written that particular character line-up before (Hermione/Severus/Lucius/Draco) so it excited me to spread my author's wings in such a dramatic way. It disappointed me that it only garnered about half as many reviews as the previous chapters. I suppose that 4-somes make some people squeamish.
Story that could have been better?
There were so many of my con-envy submissions that could have been better. Reading Glasses received a rather harsh review when I posted it to AFF.net. It gutted me, the review was so mean. That person hadn't reviewed any of my other works, and I had seen on other story review pages where they left nothing but criticism. That person hadn't even written their own stories. I really don't understand why people feel the need to cut others down.
Sexiest story?
An Unusual Profession, although I have written a lot of 'sexy' stuff this year. The plot seemed rather well-developed, IMO. Revenge is a Dish Best Served... is another sexy story I'm proud of. It was certainly a lot of fun to write Hermione getting revenge in such a way.
Most fun story?
I would have to say An Unusual Profession. At that point, I hadn't ever written for a 'fest' before, so it was interesting to see how my muse simply took the prompt and ran away with it. It pretty much wrote itself up to a certain point. I'm pleased with how it turned out, given it was my first attempt at the Charmione ship.
Story with single sweetest moment?
My Advent Celebrations and Preparations has some decidedly saccharin moments in it. It's difficult to pin point a particular one. There is more sugary sweetness to come as I haven't finished up with the subsequent Advent prompts.
The story that made you cry?
Even though I didn't technically write November Rain this year, I did add a significant bit to it (about 850 words) so I'm including it, as this story most certainly made me cry. I was listening to the song as I wrote and it seemed to make me feel the angst ten-fold.
Hardest story to write?
Time Stealing Watch. After a comment discussion with
paya27 , I wanted to try my hand at Lucissa. It was much more difficult than I thought it would be, given that I have never written Narcissa and I wanted to stay true to the parameters
paya27 set in the Borgin and Burkes series.
Easiest story to write?
A Malfoy Visit to Borgin and Burkes. It just seemed to write itself.
Most overdue story?
Part 3 to The Burden of Being Lucius. I started it from a con-envy prompt and after part 2, it came to a screeching halt. I have some ideas for it, so I really should get cracking on it.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
I wrote two mild slash stories and a four-some chapter to an existing one. I learned that it's not as easy as it seems to write a pairing outside your favorite ship. However, it can be a lot of fun to explore pairings that you're not accustomed to writing.
Do you have any fanfic goals for the New Year?
1. Write part 3 for The Burden of Being Lucius.
2. Throw my hat into the proverbial ring for the SS/HG Exchange. Must think of prompts.
3. Finish up my Advent Celebrations drabble series. I have about 11 prompts I need to work on to finish it out.

Date: 2010-01-05 06:37 pm (UTC)And may I just reiterate how much I loved A Malfoy Visit to Borgin and Burkes? I'm super picky about my Malfoy fic, as you know, and that one hit all my Lucius sweet spots. *runs off to re-read*
